And when I say score I don’t mean the Wallabies, my husband’s beloved rugby team who failed to do so last Saturday night. Andy went and saw them play live with his Dad and by all intents and purposes it was a very sorry old game. But all was not lost when, the following Sunday, we wandered past an old church that was emptying it’s contents on the very footpath that we were walking home from lunch on. There was all manner of things going out for hard rubbish/waste collection but Andy and I only had eyes for one thing, well two actually, well ten if I’m really being honest but there was no way we were going to be able to tie ten pews onto the top of our car. We were so lucky. Such great timing. A miracle one might say!
Now that we have them home we have great restorative plans for them. Off with the chipboard/pine type stuff and on with some lovely recycled timber planks. Team Wallaby may have lost but Team Sargent certainly scored!
