Lomo

February 8, 2012

in Holidays, Mates

Finally picked up our Sydney wedding lomo pics. The fact that it has been almost a month since Andy was going to, is an indication of the busyness that seems to have engulfed our family at the moment. Andy is off to Botswana again this week for work and then home for two days before I leave for Life Instyle. Phew!
Funnily enough though it has been pretty smooth sailing around these here parts. After my period of self-pity I snapped out of it and made lists and plans and got super organised. Having Otto back at school and Coco happily settled at Kindy has made a big difference. I am managing my time much better and on my ‘work’ days I am actually working not lurking on the interwebs, phoning friends, painting my nails and catching up on Top Boy (via ABC iview). This may all change as best laid plans often do, but for the time being all of the above with some exercise and healthy eating thrown in for good measure is making for a happy Sargent household. Holiday Part 3

October 10, 2011

in Africa, Holidays

I want to say a little more about Kasane. We really had a great time there. It is far less sophisticated than Gaberone, more rural/country town-ish, but the people were so charming. Lots of super cute kids, friendly and curious. Continue reading “Holiday Part 3” »

Holiday Part 2

October 10, 2011

in Africa, Holidays

After a few days in the city of Gaberone we headed up north to a small town called Kasane. This is where the amazing Chobe National Park is. It’s literally overflowing with animals, like OVERFLOWING! Seeing animals like this, in their natural habitat, is overwhelming. There are no fences, so the animals are able to roam free, however they don’t venture too far out of their natural habitat. Holiday Part 1

Thank you for the lovely comments regarding my braids! the safari suit (just a shirt)! and the look of sheer happiness on my face! Andy loves that photo and I ummed and ahhhed about putting it on the blog. I DESPISE having my photo taken, but it’s about the only photo I’ve been able to look at lately of me without wanting to barf. Somehow Andy managed to capture the way I felt the whole time I was away. I was just incredibly relaxed and joyful. There may even be more photos of my big old face on here too over next week…you have been warned! Continue reading “Holiday Part 1” »

Catch ya’s

September 18, 2011

Finally received my passport after a nervous wait (lady at post office told me I could smile in my passport photo! Wha?! Crazytown fool. I should have been more forceful when I asked ‘are you sure?’ Meant I had to start over, hence the extra time and several mini-heart attacks later) and now I can [...]

See you soon…

September 2, 2011

I’m off to Sydney this weekend for a double celebration. Firstly my Mama is 60 and we are having a special girls weekend for her, because 60 is so the new 21 and therefore she is still very much a girl. We are also going to see my sis in her new play. Can’t wait!

Snow much fun

July 30, 2011

I must admit when the idea of a snow weekend was tossed around I was hesitant. It would be freezing, expensive and a whole lot of hard work. I know, Complain-y McPlainsville right? I do however, feel as though my concern was more than a little warranted. If you’re a mother then you know that [...]
