in I made this, etsy

Me: What’s up etsy shop? You look down…
etsy shop: I’ve had it with you Mosey. I was in vacation mode for 2 months and then when you re-opened me you left me hanging with only a few meager items available to purchase. Humph.
Me: I’m so sorry you feel this way! I’ve been busy I guess, new stockists….
etsy shop: OOOOoo yes your precious stooooeeeeckissstss. I’m your roots Mosey. Your roots!
Me: Alright settle down shop. My stockists are very important to me, but yes you’re right. I do need to fill you once in a while. And guess what?! That while is NOW.
etsy shop: New stock? Balloons? Bunting? Now?
Me: Yep.
etsy shop: I could kiss you I really could! But I’m a small pixellated page in a huge international online market place, floating around in cyber space, and I’m not entirely sure of the logistics involved in said kiss.

Me: Hmmm…awkward.

Yep. It’s getting a lot of press and rightly so. It’s so gorgeous, such a lovely space filled to the brim with great things. Including Lucy’s sweet and smiling staff all polkadot-ty and cute.
Having work included in the Open House has been cool. Although entering the kids space was a little nerve wracking as I didn’t quite know what to expect. Thankfully I saw a whole bunch of pretty hanging from the ceiling. Phew.
Sometimes I see the things I make and all I can think is ‘work’. This time was different though. I felt happy and relieved that it all seemed to be working well and people seemed to like it. Although being in a room that included Penelope Durston’s vintage blanket quilts and Castle’s fluro spot bedding could only mean good things.
Well worth a visit….

Thanks everyone who has donated and blogged (especially The Craft Revival, Dell, CWC, Frankie Magazine and Poppytalk! Wow you guys!) and tweeted about this giveaway so far! I feel so lucky to have such generous people swinging by my little blog. I will draw the winner next week, so in case you were thinking about donating and entering and hadn’t got around to, you still have time!
Oh cheer up Coco! Mummy will make you another one……

Tour de France

July 11, 2011

Andy found an amazing woolen vintage cycling top at a garage sale not long ago. My step-father, Brett, is a cycling nut so Andy felt he couldn’t pass it by. We ummed and ahhed about what to do with it. Give it to him as it was (slightly holey and nowhere near his size) frame [...]

Nankey Blankey? WIP

June 26, 2011

Doesn’t quite have the same ring as my beloved Hankey Blankeys, but this new quilt I’m working on is made up of a bazillion napkins that I’ve been collecting over the past few months. Some are hand appliqued, some are machine done, there is embroidery and even some cross stitch but they were all originally [...]

A-ok

June 23, 2011

I made this patchwork A for a special little lady whose birthday is coming up soon. The only problem is I’m not sure where to go to from here. Pillow? Wall-hanging? Zippy crayon bag? I’m sure I’ll think of something. And if not I can always call on the services of the Intelligent Shark.

Herald Sun

June 21, 2011

I was lucky enough to have a lovely write-up in the Herald Sun Home magazine on the weekend. I did the interview back in December and really had no idea what I rambled on about. Reading it on Saturday, I still didn’t really have an idea what I was rambling on about, so nothing new [...]

Missing in action…

May 28, 2011

I’m here, just not fully here. Floating somewhere between adjusting to working from home and all that it entails. Not sure whether I feel exhilarated or frightened.
More on all this later, but the one thing I am feeling is cold. And when it’s cold there is nothing I like better than snuggling up with a [...]
