I’ve written about my bookclub previously and how much I love it. Even when I don’t manage to finish (read start) the book and even when I’m only a little interested (read not much at all) in the particular book of the month. Which was the case this month. We were assigned Wuthering Heights and considering we have two bonnie english lass’s in our club, one of whom put forth the book in the first place, we decided on an English theme.
So much fun theme-wise! Our beautiful host, hung flags, baked yorkshire pudding and made mushee peas. There were gin and tonics, Stones green ginger wine, scones with jam and cream and because I’m basically a goofball, I made a chocolate cake and decorated it with bangers and mash all made out of icing. Mad and fabulous all at once, just like my English friends!
So this month was more like food club although the discussion about the book has inspired me to give Wuthering Heights another shot (read actually purchase the darn thing) .

That cake is sensational!
I went to a bookclub once, but in no way was it of this caliber. AND I actually read the book!
I think your book club is much better
