The shop has finally been updated*. Phew. I’d like to act as though it was no big thing, but it was, IT WAS. It takes time and patience and a gentle touch shooting mobiles. Case in point; Andy captured my magic voodoo hands above trying to still the Rainbow Dreamer feathers and then slowly back out of shot. It’s a process I tells ya.
I was pondering success the other day. Sitting in my very own studio, doing what I loved, being able to be at arms length from the kids and work around them made me feel like mosey was in a really good place, I felt happy, balanced and pretty darn successful.
You may or may not have noticed in the excitement of the cushions, that I’ve been making teeny weeny tiny Dreamer mobiles. So cuuute! Er, if I do say so myself….
I am getting a wee bit excited about my Hankey cushions. They are coming people, they are coming! I had planned to screen print them with my dear friends who have a printing business but they wisely advised that digital printing would be the way to go for what I wanted to do. I was lucky enough to have a friend with me in the studio this morning. She’s an especially excellent friend, a quick learner and she brought coffee and cake. She also makes me laugh a lot.
I decided to push those feathers further this weekend. After both Cass and Andy suggested a mobile, (and these creative types sure do know a thing or two about good design) I went to work making something a little more ethereal than my usual style. And this is it! The Dreamer.
